When  people come to see me, during the free consultation, I explain that when there are in a very relaxed state, ie. hypnosis, that it is nothing like the hypnosis, we see used on  stage, T.V etc. which is purely for entertainment purposes.

 While you are in hypnosis, I will not be making suggestions, that you are a pop star, film star, etc. instead how hypnosis for therapy works is, when you are in this very relaxed state, the conscious mind, the one that plans our day, decide to go for a walk etc.takes a back seat, and the subconscious mind which contains all  our  memories, emotions, feelings, and beliefs comes to the fore.

  As we are working directly with the subconscious mind, the suggestions made to the subscious mnd, for eg. for smoking cessation, confidence building, exam success, etc go directly into the subconscious mind, gradually changing negative beliefs,emotions, and feelings about yourself to more positive lasting emotions, feelings and beliefs.

 In the same way, working with the suconscious mind, when using hypnotherapy for analytical therapy, you will be able to release  the memories, emotions, feelings, and thus the symptoms which have been making up your issue.
